Screencast-o-matic
I’m really excited about a new tool that was mentioned in the online conference run by George Siemens called The Future of Education. One of the presenters mentioned a program called screencast-o-matic which sounded like just what I have been looking for in order to let students watch demos that I create about using various Internet tools. To me it’s like a very simple, free form of Camtasia. You use a box to enclose the information on the screen that you want to demonstrate and then you record as you procede to explain the steps you are taking.
